Business Affairs 101 for Film, TV and Digital Media

Get acquainted with the business side of film, TV, and digital media creation. This short introductory course will gently walk you through the dizzying array of forms, systems, and terms involved in screen production.
We’ll look at government business requirements, taxation, corporate structure, budget templates, financing structures and the multitude of issues when applying to the Canada Media Fund, Telefilm Canada, and other funding agencies.
This course will help you navigate the bureaucracy, so you can focus your energy on creating wonderful shows for the screen.
About the Instructor: Yukon producer Max Fraser has successfully navigated the film funding maze for a variety of productions over the past 10 years. He learned the hard way, and now wants to help others save time and effort.
